Research indicates that some factors are associated with a greater likelihood of success for each atrocity prevention tool. Below, we list these success factors for Mediation .

Note: Only success factors supported by two or more research findings are listed below. When research suggests that a factor is associated with lower levels of effectiveness, we list the absence or opposite of that factor. For example, if high-intensity conflicts are associated with lower effectiveness of a tool, we list low-intensity conflicts as a success factor.
